Become A Friend or Patron Of The Worcestershire Literary Festival
Becoming a Friend of the Festival is a brilliant way of keeping in touch with goings on at the Worcestershire Literary Festival and a great way of providing long-term support, helping to ensure the Festival’s future.
Friends of the Festival will enjoy:
- Priority mailing of ticket information.
- A special ten day priority booking period before the Box Office opens to the public.
- £1 discount for Friends tickets booked for events, to a maximum discount of £4 for single membership and £7 for double membership
- Invitations to two Friends Receptions during the year
- Two issues of the Friends newsletter.
Cost:
£30.00 (single) and £35.00 (double – two people at one address).
Gold Friends
In recognition of the fantastic support offered by the Friends we have introduced an additional ‘Gold Friends’ subscription rate.
Gold membership includes all the benefits above plus:
- Your name credited on the Festival website and in the programme.
- £1 discount per Friends ticket booked to a maximum discount of £20
Cost:
£100 per annum
Corporate Friends
Corporate Friendship is ideal for companies and organisations who want to demonstrate their commitment to the future of the Worcestershire Literary Festival, but who may not wish to undertake full event sponsorship.
Benefits of being a Corporate Friend include:
- Your company name in the Festival Programme which is distributed to the public, press and organisations
- Your company logo and a presence on our website with a link to your own website, listed on the Sponsors and Partners page
- Acknowledgement in Friends newsletters
- Priority mailing of ticket information
- A special ten day priority booking period before the Box Office opens to the public
- 4 complimentary tickets to our launch event “A Bard For Worcestershire” (restrictions apply for certain popular events)
- An invitation to the Champagne Reception launch of the Festival on Friday 17th June 2011, 6.30pm at Worcester Cathedral.
- Invitations to two future receptions, one in November 2011, and one during the Worcestershire Literary Festival in 2012 enabling you to meet other Friends, and the organisers and speakers.
- Two issues of the Corporate Friends newsletter.
Cost:
The standard cost is £150 per year, but we can also offer tailored packages to meet the needs and specific interests of your organisation.
Please note:
We have limited tickets for all our events, with our largest venue holding only 350 people. For a small number of headline events the demand for tickets considerably exceeds availability. It is our policy to ensure that some tickets will always be available for members of the general public. The number of tickets available to Friends during the booking period is therefore limited and all tickets are subject to availability.

Such support enables us to plan more effectively for the future, maintain and improve our literary events and expand our educational activities>

You will join a critical group of supporters whose annual gifts ensure that our fundraising targets are achieved and ensures we can keep delivering world-class events and the annual Worcestershire Literary Festival to the widest possible audiences.
There are various levels of Patron Support
- Associate Patron: £500 (minimum annual donation)
- Supporting Patron: £1000 (minimum annual donation)
- Principal Patron: £2000 (minimum annual donation)
In thanking you for your generosity we will:
- Publicly acknowledge you in literature and on our website (if desired).
- Send you updates on the work of the festival and how your support is helping.
- Offer you priority booking for WLF events and during the Festival itself.
- Invite you to 2 Patrons and Friends events, held in November 2011 and during the Festival in 2012.
- Invite you as guests to our annual Patrons event – date to be set.
