Volunteer For The Worcestershire Literary Festival – We Need YOU!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Worcestershire Literary Festival. We rely heavily on the goodwill of individuals who give their time and expertise to us and we are currently looking for volunteers to undertake the following roles:
Area Co-Ordinators – to be the festival point of contact in your locality in Worcestershire, to help with distributing information about the festival, to be the local point of contact, to help with speaking to the press in your area and to be the point of contact for festival events taking place in your area. We are currently looking for Area Co-Ordinators in Malvern, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Evesham and some of the rural areas of the County.
We also have the need for ad hoc help in the office with administration and to undertake the following tasks:
Promoting the 2012 festival online via social media channels e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.
Listing individual events within the Festival onto online listings websites such as “Your Worcester Pages”, “Activ Worcester”, “Not Just Sauce” and many more.
Spreading the word about the festival online to your friends and contacts.
Brochure, Leaflet and poster distribution.
During the Festival proper in 2012 we will need volunteers to help with:
Stewarding at events.
Ticket sales.
Venue liaison.
Meeting and greeting authors, writers, poets and performers.
Help at the Festival Information Point in the Crowngate Shopping Centre, Worcester.

Yes. Nick Munro-Turner our Festival Administrator will be in touch either by phone or email to discuss times you are available and what you would like to do during the Festival.
How Often Does the WLF Team Meet?
We meet as a group monthly on the first Monday of the month at 7.00pm upstairs in Little Venice Restaurant, Worcester.
How Much Time Can I Give?
The amount of time you can give the WLF is entirely up to you – you can dip in for a few hours as and when, help out in the evenings around childcare or other commitments, or join us in one of the vacant positions if you are able to commit more time to helping us – the possibilities are endless.
